I’m pissed. Just got done watching survivor 10: palau. In one of the greatest episodes I have ever seen, the tribe uulong ( angie, ibrehem, bobby john, stephenie, james ) pulled through and almost won the reward challenge for fresh stew and rootbeer. Ibrehem really sucked it up and couldn’t dive for a sake bottle. He dived like 4 times 6ft deep and couldn’t find anything. He really let his tribe down.
Uulong has now been to tribal council 4 times. So, Uulong heads to tribal with plans of voting off Ibrehem. This is a good idea considering the incredible letdown that he was on the last challenge. However, he truly didn’t deserve to leave. The same is true of all members of Uulong. But that is all not a huge deal considering this is how the game works.
Here’s the kicker. Because Koror won the tribal challenge, they were able to goto tribal council. They voted off their own member willard, which was fine cuz willard sucked horribly. But, Koror got to sit at Uulong’s tribal council whilst eating stew and rootbeer, driving the Uulong tribe out of their minds. So, I’m thinkin all is fine and dandy. Ibrehem will get voted off and my 2nd favorite surivivor ever Angie, after Rupert, will continue in the game.
Problem. Koror gets to vote for immunity for one member of Uulong, meaning that that one person they vote for is exempt from being voted off. Koror votes for Ibrehem. Poop. With Uulong’s strategy now completely destroyed because of the surprise immunity vote, Uulong voted a tie vote for Bobby John and Angie! Ohhh, I could almost taste the disgust of this show once the tie occured. But, still as the optimist I am I continue to think, maybe just maybe Bobby John. nope. Angie, my favorite player, voted off. I haven’t been this pissed since Rupert voted off the first time in survivor pearl islands. I’m pissed.

I believe you need to spend less time watching that god awful show and more time justifying your statement that this website is still under construction. It’s fantastic already. Why would you say this isn;t complete? Why?!?!?!? Okay I need to get back to work. I like your site.
Sounds like a personal problem there logie.
But might I say, you have a mighty nice blog/website here.
Good designs!
thanks a ton matt and mario. mario, I have a question for you. I am fairly new to the moonlighting/web design world and I wanted to know how much experience that you have had with it. are you very successful? i would like to hear about some of your experience. thanks for commenting on the site too, i love to hear about what other people think about this site and its great to see that people are reading.
matt, i love your site. however, the image based text seems a little blurry. i don’t know if it is the typeface you are using or what. but, funny thing is the whole rounded rectangle thing. i think it looks really smooth and as you can see, i use it a ton on this site. i didn’t have it too much on the previous design, but definitely on this design. also, i like the fact that you strayed from the hugely popular diagonal stripes look and went with the vertical bars, nice touch and good use of color! i would also like to hear from your work experience as well matt and see if you have any advice to offer or any things that you have found to help you in this busy world of a million web designers.
great site, keep it up, looking forward to see some stuff in your portfolio, bookmarked!
Damn it! They voted off Angie?!?! WTF! That tribe is doomed for failure. I missed the episode due to the now conflicting schedule with LOST. Nice site.
You honkey mofo. I agree. Stop waisting your time. We’ve had many discussions about how little time you have… DO YOUR GD DEVEROPMENTO! But if you insist on waisting your time, then come help me on my 8 million projects.
I like fish
Sorry I am getting back so late – The only way I came back was because I had gotten a referral from here. Odd. But cool.
Anyhow – I would not consider myself – as of yet – to be successfull, but I do consider my current design to be the most successfull one yet. I submitted it to many sites, but for whatever reason, it did not get featured. Oh well – better luck next time. As for some advice. What I am finding to be a leader in this industry isn’t by being on the computer at all. It’s by taking what you see, do and hear from the real world, and try to apply it to the web world. most often or not, what you see on the web is the result of something that happened in the real world. The challenge is to bring from the real world, what no one else as. Not invent a new usefull application that no one as before, just improve whats already there.
I hope that might clear something up? Oh and another thing – Networking with people is the best thing you can do. Really. This article is a great inspiration to get started – http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2004/05/getting-started-in-design
Thanks for the kind words! Email me if you have any other questions – I’ll be sure to answer them faster that way ;)
