It seems to me every warrior in movies had their token things. In Robin Hood: Prince of Theives, Morgan Freeman had his sweet monocular made out of a magnifying glass and leather. King Arthur had Excalibur. In the Harry Potter series, Hermione has her books. In Quigley Down Under, Tom Selleck had his bomb gun; it really was so sweet. Michael Jackson had his token glove and soul glo hair.
In modern times, we have our favorite things. Things that define us. Clothing, hats, electronic devices, etc. Here are mine:
- My hat. I always have a favorite one. Until it broke, it was my Von Deutch hat. Now it is my 686 hat.
- My pants. Volcom Ergo 2. Beautiful.
- My Player: iPod nano 4GB black. I bring it everywhere and listen to it all the time. I also almost killed it trying to install iDoom on it.
- My Game: Counter-Strike or Grand Turismo
- My God: (Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, God the Father)
- My Band: Not exactly Christian, but I’m sorry I love their style. The Prodigy.
- My Drink: Red Bull
- My Cup: Dented Brown Pottery mug by Ryan Labar OR Starbucks waterproof cup I got for Christmas
- My Computer: Apple Powerbook
- My Knife: Spyderco Bob Lum Chinese Folder (Thanks Dad)
My Jeep: 2001 Wrangler (OllllO)
My Pot: A Labar original.
My iTunes: Allows me to sculpt a soundtrack for my life
My Bar: O’Tooles, because it is 1. close to my house 2. downtown 3. has a great group of regulars, and the bartenders are great and so are the drinks!
My Darth Tater: Coolest little toy
My Jewelry: Reminds me of different moments in my life
Your hat: hats make me look stupid
Your pants:
Your mp3 player: i want the same one!
Your game: If i had a good enough pc i’d probably play it, UT GOTY does fine at the moment
Your god: same here (although, I am a rather stray sheep)
Your band: rules! However, I’ve never heard many of their songs
Your drink: Is very handy
Your cup: I’ve got a nifty black cup from a company I did some work for, along with some of their more exclusive products
Your computer: is far better than my Acer Travelmate 290E
Your knife: sounds nifty, I’ve got a ‘Leatherman pocket nife & pliers etc’ and a Swiss-Army Knife
Wow, you wear pants that don’t come above a size 29, have the hippest iPod, play the most popular game, are a fan of the biggest corporate coffee house, drink the #1 energy drink in the world (which tastes like piss, btw) and you like the #1 techno band. Wow, you’re underground.
