Possibly part of the redesign...A loverly fernSo, I have been working on a few design ideas of mine. One of which is the highly anticipated (by myself) redesign of Komodo Media. I gotta tell you, I am a little scared. So many of you loved this design that it seems to me that it might fall in the dreaded sequel category. You know, just like the movies where the first is so utterly killah that you can’t seem to ever fall in love with the next. Case in point: The Matrix. But what can you do? I can’t very well sit in silence thinking in rosy retrospection of my past design and fail to dream again. No, I will not. I must move on.

So, Komodo Media will be coming out with a design that I love and I hope you will too. I have spent many hours tweaking and perfecting this design in Fireworks till Lord only knows when and how long. Anyhoo, enough about my design, for that is not my purpose today. My purpose is to give you people out there a little help in your design world by giving you a little gift. A gift which I have poured my heart in to designing, and a bonus from my friend and fellow elite designer, Thurston Elfstrom. Props to him for designing the luscious red restrada. For some reason, I have felt like giving away vector art of leaves and plants. So, it is without further ado, that I present you with the Komodo Media Leaf vector art package:

Click to download the vector leaves!
I have exported this file as an Adobe Illustrator file (.ai ) as well, however it does not contain gradient information.

Great work. I love the artwork. Thanks for sharing.

Slightly OT, i live in a tropical island country and have at some stage had every one of those plants in my garden. In fact, I had cassava(tapioka) for dinner tonight (the root of the plant whose leaf is pictured above with 7 leaflets in star formation)

    again, thanks for sharing.

This website is one of the sexiest I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning. Keep up the great work, and thanks for the illustrations – I just wish I could draw them myself!

Un-bloomin-believable. Thanks a bunch for these, Rogie! Look forward to using them somewhere… anywhere!

  24. Noia said over 3 years ago

    @Rogie: Great job :)

  25. Rogie said over 3 years ago

@Nola: As per your request, I’ve replaced these leaves with a much larger version of the leaves. I have added the orchid from my site as well as made the image a PNG with a transparent background. Enjoy!

  26. Noia said over 3 years ago

Is it possible to have these without the white background in PNG form? Its damn near impossible to extract them from the white background.
Also, is it possible to have them in a larger resolution aswell?

Other than that, beautiful design, I’d really like to use the leaves for something.

The files are no longer available, would you be willing to email or repost these? I would love to see what everyone is raving about.

    Thank you!

Awesome art, thanks for sharing it!

Looking forward to the new design.

For those who do not use Macromedia Fireworks, there is now a Adobe Illustrator version available below the main image. I could not figure out how to export the vector graphics and their gradients to the .ai file, so the illustrator leaves are only the graphics. You’ll have to reapply and gradients or dropshadowing.

Nice leaves. There is no vector in the zip, only png file?

  39. Rogie said over 4 years ago

Tim, the leaves were created in Macromedia Fireworks and should still retain the original vector art. What program are you using to open them?

  40. tim said over 4 years ago

    Hi!
    Those leaves are awsome!
Only when i download the zip, all thats in there is a png, no vector artwork files only bitmap..:(
    Am i doing somthing wrong?

    Thanks!

Great art set, thanks for sharing! You should get a sponsorship from Adobe (formerly Macromedia) for your development skills!
