Weve all done it. Weve fallen in love with songs that now seem ridiculous. I can’t believe what sort of crap I’ve listened to in my day. And what better to do than share those lovely, yet humiliating chunks of musical and lyrical bull than right here in front of hundreds, no thousands, no billions of people. Also, I seem to be fond of lists, maybe its the fact that I am horrid at writing.

  • This is how we party - S.O.A.P
  • Toxic - Britney Spears
  • My Humps - Black Eyed Peas
  • All the things she said - Tatu
  • Tearin’ out my heart - ‘N Sync
  • U + Me = Us - 2gether
  • One Jump Ahead - Brad Kane ( Aladdin Soundtrack )
  • Bootylicious - Destiny’s Child
  • This is Me - Dream
  • Hungry like the wolf - Duran Duran
  • Straight up funk - Five
  • Danger Zone - Gwen Stefani
  • Come Clean - Hilary Duff
  • Jenny from the block - Jennifer Lopez
  • You had me - Joss Stone
  • Rock your body - Justin Timberlake
  • Be my lover - La Bouche
  • Down Under - Men at Work
  • Hangin’ Tough - New Kids on the Block
  • Drogostea Din Tei - O-Zone
  • Hit me with your best shot - Pat Benatar
  • Push it - Salt-N-Pepa
  • Tangled up in me - Skye Sweetname
  • I wanna be bad - Willa Ford
  • Hold the line - Toto

Also, I just wanted to let you know ahead of time…..No I am NOT gay. It may look like it, but this post is more of a confessional more than anything. These are all the songs that I mock in front of people but secretly dance to at home :)

Ok, with the exception of “Down Under” proves that you’re home sk00l’d. No man in our age bracket should listen to that stuff. It’s OK if you’re an 11 year old girl. But if it stimulates your crazy good design skills, more power to ya.

So, in all fairness I’ll share a song or two that I’m ashamed I like(d).

Dead Man’s Party - Oingo Boingo
    Wind of Change - Scorpions
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey Soundtracks - Various Artists
Honorable mention embarassing groups: New Edition, Troop and even Vanilla Ice (What! Don’t lie! I wasn’t the only one!)

When I was 12 or so the music scene was a horrible place and I was a confused child. I remember listening to horrible late 80’s early 90’s R&B crap. Gosh I can’t even remember some of the atrocities my ears and young mind allowed and even in some cases welcomed. It wasn’t until I discovered bands like Pearl Jam, Metallica, Sound Garden and RATM. Granted this isn’t the only kind of music I like. And even though I look back now and say that early R&B stuff is something I’m moderatly embarassed of (WAIT WTF? There is a bump on Adult Swim…. Did you know they are bring PeeWee’s Playhouse to Adult Swim?) it did give me a a good sense of rhythem and an appreciation for this thing called Hip-Hop; Long live Del and Doc Oc!

After saying most of that… I guess I’m sorry. I’ve listened to some pretty crappy music in my time. I love you, but I can’t forgive the Nsync.

    Bump Bump Bump- B2K
    I touch Myself- The Devinyls

@Jamie - Crud, why did you have to bring out more stuff that I have listened to and danced to in my office…why!??! I guess I had no pride once I posted this post, so you are only pushing the dagger in further ;)

Sussudio is a classic. Also, I forgot to mention seperate ways by Journey…now thats a dandy.

@Sean - I totally agree. You are well on your way to finding perfection.

Leave it to eddy to post bands I’ve never heard of. However, Vanilla Ice is swiss.
