What is all of this?
Dribbble is a website that asks the question “what are you working on?”. Designers post “shots”, a 400×300 screenshot of what they are working on. Optionally, designers can “rebound” another shot. It’s like riffing’ off of another’s work and making something your own out of it. It’s loads of fun.
To help spread the word about our charity:water campaign, I asked designers to rebound my shot. Whatever designer rocked the hardest and got the most “likes” by the Dribbble membership would win $50. Second place won a Stachetrooper tee-shirt. The submissions were amazing and overwhelming. I just want to thank all of the designers for their heartfelt messages, humor, talent and time in helping.
The Winners
Two shots stood out from the crowd of amazing entries, Walken on Water 20/20 by Trent Walton with 104 likes and Walken on Water Halfsies by Matthew Smith with 84 likes.

Walken on Water 20/20 by Trent Walton

Walken on Water Halfsies by Matthew Smith
So, to award the top two, I, Rogie King do grant:
- Trent Walton — $50
- Matthew Smith — A Stashetrooper Tee
Come and gettem’ boys!
Honorable Mentions
Trent and Matthew did amazing work. Matthew’s message blew my mind. It really made me think — and act on it. But enough about those boys, because the members at Dribbble really did an awesome job and I want to highlight other shots that really rocked:

Walken on Water by Mc Baldassari

charity:water – make a difference by Jesse Dodds

A heartfelt thank you to all who were involved and used their talents to further this campaign to help others. We couldn’t have done this without you!

I’m honored to be a part of this… please feel free to put my winnings directly towards your Charity:Water Campaign.
Trent, I knew you would say that :) And in it goes! You are a gentleman and a stunning designer.
What an amazing level of work, an impressive response from everyone involved, and all for a fantastic cause.
Well done to everyone.
W00t! Excited to see two of my internet designery peers win a contest that is going toward such a great cause. We’re halfway there folks, keep it up!
So it just happens that you reward the guys that you’ve been following on Twitter and that RT all the time.
It would have been well worth to support some of the lesser known folks… :(
Awesome work an even more awesome cause.
Wow, how fun! Please send my tee to the next in line. I already have one in the order. You’re a good man :)
Matthew, that’s fine OR you can take that money and donate it to the cause — your choice!
Thomas, I rewarded those who received the most likes on Dribbble. I had no control over who would win. Also, the big picture is that we as a community don’t need reward. People that are dying from bad water need no rewards, just some drinking water. Let’s keep some perspective here.
Awesome work guys. it’s great what the dribbble community is doing for a really important cause. keep it up!
@Thomas – cmon now. it’s not about self promotion or popularity.
good stuff rogie!
yey! thank you so much for the honorable mention, i’m glad! It’s a good cause, keep it up dude!
Thanks for the honorable mention Rogie! Let’s keep it up and raise all $5000
Sounds great Rogie, I assumed you already purchased the shirt, but then that wouldn’t have made sense :P
Please DO get some WATER with that money :))
Congrats on a great effort to help. I’m happy to be part of it. I’m thankful for the conviction it offered me – as I play with design, instead of pining for water.
Matthew, your wish is my command. Diverting moneys to charity:water now.
Wow, I’m honored to be mentioned! I really enjoyed designing my submission and thought it was an excellent cause.
A big thanks to you Rogie for mentioning my piece!
